By downloading or using Goalz (the "App"), you agree to these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Goalz is a personal goal-tracking app. It lets you record habits and progress, and — only with your permission — reads data from Apple Health to fill in logs automatically. The App is provided for informational and motivational purposes only.
GOALZ IS NOT A MEDICAL DEVICE AND DOES NOT PROVIDE MEDICAL ADVICE, DIAGNOSIS, OR TREATMENT.
Consult a physician or qualified health professional before starting any weight-loss, diet, exercise, or blood-pressure management program, and before setting or pursuing any health-related goal in the App — especially if you are pregnant, have a medical condition, or take medication.
Never disregard, or delay seeking, professional medical advice because of something you tracked or saw in the App. Goal targets, pace calculations, streaks, and "behind/on track" labels are motivational constructs, not clinical guidance.
Stop any activity immediately and seek medical attention if you experience pain, dizziness, shortness of breath, or other concerning symptoms.
The App is not for emergencies. If you think you have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number immediately.
You choose your own goals and targets; set them sensibly for your health and circumstances.
Data you log (and data read from Apple Health) may be incomplete or inaccurate; you are responsible for verifying anything you rely on.
Reminders, Apple Health syncing, and widgets are best-effort and may not fire or update; do not rely on the App for anything time- or safety-critical.
Keep backups (the App's export and backup features exist for this). Data may be lost if the App or device fails.
Health data is read from Apple Health only with your permission, is processed on your device, and is not transmitted to us. You can revoke access at any time in iOS Settings → Health → Data Access & Devices. Data you export or back up goes only where you send it. See the Privacy Policy.
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE," WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy of calculations, or uninterrupted operation.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, WE ARE NOT LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES, FOR PERSONAL INJURY OR HEALTH OUTCOMES ARISING FROM DIET, EXERCISE, OR OTHER ACTIVITIES YOU UNDERTAKE, OR FOR LOSS OF DATA, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE APP. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM SHALL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNT YOU PAID FOR THE APP IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations; where prohibited, the above applies to the fullest extent permitted.
We may update these Terms. Material changes will be noted in the App; continued use after changes means you accept them.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
