Terms of Service

These Terms govern your use of the Hot Tub Trivia Machine app (the "App"). By downloading or using the App, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use the App.

1. License

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for your own non-commercial entertainment on Apple devices you own or control, subject to these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

2. The App

Hot Tub Trivia Machine is a party trivia game intended to be set up and played with the involvement of a parent or adult (rated 13+). Trivia content is provided for entertainment; while we aim for accuracy, we do not warrant that every question or fact is error-free.

3. Purchases

The App is free to download and includes a free tier. A one-time in-app purchase (the "Pro" unlock, $2.99 USD or local equivalent) unlocks additional categories and the competitive game mode. All purchases are processed by Apple through the App Store and are subject to Apple's terms; we do not receive or store your payment information. The Pro unlock is a non-consumable purchase and can be restored on your devices using the same Apple ID. Refunds are handled by Apple according to Apple's policies; we cannot directly issue refunds. Prices and the availability of the Pro unlock or future add-ons may change.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse engineer, copy, resell, or misuse the App, its content, or its trivia database, except as permitted by law.

5. Intellectual property

The App, its design, artwork, name, logo, and trivia content are owned by us or our licensors and are protected by intellectual-property laws. "Hot Tub Trivia Machine" and associated branding are our marks. You receive no ownership rights.

6. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or that trivia answers are always correct.

7. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss arising from your use of the App. Our total liability for any claim relating to the App will not exceed the amount you paid for it.

8. Children

The App is rated 13+ and is not listed in Apple's Kids Category. It is intended for use with the involvement of a parent or adult. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle information.

9. Changes

We may update these Terms; the effective date will change and the current version will be posted at this URL. Continued use after changes means you accept them.

10. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules.
